Today's Test Results

Guess who has NORMAL platelets and almost normal white blood cells? This girl! My platelets went from 27 on Wednesday/Thursday to 172 today! 172!

I'm blown away by the results. Definitely immeasurably more than anything I could have asked or imagined. What an incredible answer to prayer! 🙌🏼 

Unfortunately, though, it doesn't mean that I can continue on my current treatment. (I knew it was a long shot, but I had to ask.) They don't want to risk my platelets getting that low again. Apparently, platelets that low put you at very high risk for severe internal bleeding or intracranial hemorrhage. So we will be moving on to the next drug on May 27th.

My next prayer request is for rejuvenation as I get to spend a week with friends at the beach before coming back to my brain MRI and CT scan the following week. It's nice that I'll be feeling better at the beach than I would have if I had gotten chemo today, so I'm thankful for that.
