Last week, Kevin and I met with my oncologist to get the results of my CT scan. My oncologist shared that he had been expecting to come into my appointment and discuss moving on to my next treatment option, which will be a clinical trial where I'll undergo T-cell therapy. Instead, he was thrilled to say that the CT scan showed that my current treatment is still working. Everything is stable.

As I wrote in my last post, I wasn't really looking forward to staying on my current treatment, so my enthusiasm at the good news was tempered a lot. We were able to share honestly how difficult treatment has been lately, and I felt heard and understood. Unfortunately, at this point in my treatment journey, there isn't anything easier left to try, especially since so few treatments work against brain metastases. I knew this was the case; I just didn't want it to be true.

So I continue on with this chemo, although thankfully this is my week off. All of your prayers for me last week helped so much! The day of chemo was difficult, but the days following were quite a bit easier.

Next Tuesday, April 23, will be a really difficult day. I'm getting chemo and then going straight to get my brain MRI. My two least-favorite activities, back to back. I will need all the support you can give me. Thank you so much for surrounding me with prayers, encouragement, and love. It helps so much and encourages me to press on! 💗💗
